1 month and 1 day

It was with a sense of anticipation that I logged into www.xbox.com last night. I had read blog posts from Eurogamer that had said that they had changed the layout to more closely reflect the XBox 360, and boy were they ever right!! It is a joy to see, and when you log in to the UK homepage, it even has a clock counting down to the release time!! And it now seems ever so close… But not quite close enough for my liking.

I’ve now sold my XBox to a colleague here at work (who has told me that the house has gone quiet, and he thinks his girlfriend might be contemplating leaving him as he is now addicted to Halo 2!!) and so I am console-less. I still have EQ2 to keep me happy, but I really want to own my XB360. I haven’t owned a console on launch day since the N64 that I had. But this time I can’t wait. The more I see of it (even seeing the way that the “players connected” indicator rotates itself when you turn the console on its side) the more I want it right now. And Microsoft are doing a stunning job of drip feeding stuff out. The Project Gotham 3 videos look awesome. I can’t wait to take it online on the 2nd of December against Dan, Ashleigh and Gary as much fun will be had by all. We have all committed to taking breaks throughout the day to post about it, but I can almost guarantee that the breaks will not be as frequent as we plan them to be. I expect December 2nd to be my first time in my third place for a long time!!
